Foundation for New Children’s Hospital

The Foundation for New Children’s Hospital in Ljubljana is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that was established in December 1994. Since then, it has raised funds for the new building of the Children’s Hospital. As the building was eventually financed and built by the state in 2009, the Foundation started fundraising for new medical devices to improve the quality of treatment of sick children from all over Slovenia at the Children’s Hospital.

Our biggest donation until today, as well as the biggest donation ever given to the University Clinical Centre in the history of Slovenia, was the Magnetic Resonance Imaging device that was bought in 2013. Since then all the collected donations are intended for devices that are necessary in different hospital wards.

Since 2013, the Foundation for the Clinic of Paediatrics has raised funds for 48 new medical devices, replacing the old, the broken and the worn-out ones.

In the future, we aim to continue our work for the common good by raising funds to fulfil the needs of the hospital. We want to help the sick children heal by providing devices, thus enabling better and faster diagnostics and treatment.
